What the job involves

  • The Payments team is hiring an account manager to provide service to the GuestyPay users and be the expert for everything related to payments as the customer-facing team member
  • Own service customer payments products process - including system setup, user training, and customer relationship management
  • Upsale of payment product add-ons
  • Pricing negotiation and explanation for the payment products
  • Deliver demo sessions (via video) to customers
  • Follow up with customers regularly throughout the ticketing system to make sure they are increasing their engagement in the Guesty payments products and have all the needed information and support
  • Serve as the Guesty payments contact person for clients during onboarding for questions about product usage and payment best practices
  • Become an expert on the entire Guesty Platform in the payments field
  • Understand the customer business and technical needs to optimize configuration and recommend best practice solutions
  • Gather customer feedback to communicate it to the Payment team
  • Focal point of knowledge and training inside the organization
  • Be an expert on the Guesty Platform from a payments point of view and on the GuestyPay product

Our take

The short-term rental economy has gone from strength to strength since the revolutionary introduction of Airbnb into the industry. Now startups are competing to iron out the kinks in vacation and rental experiences for both landlords and tenants.

Guesty is doing this through building the Salesforce for property management. By focusing on the operational hiccups of running a short-term rental property - and there are many - Guesty has built up a loyal customer base who are grateful for the software which unlocks time and money.

The company is now investing in growth and technology while extending its marketplace of third-party integrations. It is also continuing to build out its machine learning capabilities which augments many of its products, triaging guest messages for example.

The startup is also starting to develop products for other types of property, including multi-unit listings and “aparthotels.” Guesty must continue to deliver a quality service for these new types of customers who will bring with them higher expectations than casual hosts.
