  • Experience working at a technology company as the lead account and relationship manager of CAC 40 and/or large organization
  • Experience of leading virtual and local account teams, developing relationships at all levels
  • A strong understanding of cloud computing (Iaas, SaaS, PaaS), its benefits and the impact on enterprise transformation
  • Good knowledge and experience of the Energy & Utility industry
  • Fluency in French and English

Desirable

  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations
  • Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS)

What the job involves

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring an Account Manager to help guide the current and future use of AWS services focused on Enterprise market segment
  • AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector
  • Enterprises have challenges unique to their scale and required transformation to continue to invent new value propositions, improve their ability to compete, adapt their processes and augment their customer experience
  • As the AWS Energy & Utilities Account Manager, you will be directly responsible for providing business leadership and management of this account
  • You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, directly and with partners, monitor deployment of projects and engage virtual and global resources
  • You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • You will have ownership of all Customer and their subsidiary relationships in France and influence them when located abroad
  • Identify customer’s business and technology challenges, along with strategic programs
  • Design, build and execute an Account Plan jointly with Customer with Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound outcomes
  • Ownership of all customer or Business Units/affiliates for large customers and subsidiary relationships and influence international subsidiaries
  • Building of a transformational vision and execution model aligned with Customer’s challenges and desired outcome
  • Interaction with technology teams and business groups to drive further adoption of AWS products
  • Mobilizing AWS general managers, product management, and senior leadership for features to meet the needs of Customer’s teams
  • Work to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Owning and delivering long term focused sales strategy
  • Develop and Lead cross functional account team (Solution Architect, Technical Account Manager, Inside sales...) to delight the customer
  • Develop and grow relationship with top executives and sponsors to ensure alignment with the customer strategic imperatives

Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
