Role

Who you are

  • You have 1-3 years of experience in a B2B SaaS environment, preferably in a sales or customer-facing role
  • You have a proven ability to manage and close deals, ideally with experience handling inbound leads and a track record of working with five-figure ACVs
  • You possess strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and explain complex products and deployment scenarios, including API integrations
  • You are a quick learner with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are comfortable guiding customers through a technical and consultative sales process
  • You are empathetic and customer-focused, with a genuine interest in understanding and addressing customer challenges
  • You are fluent in German and English, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, agile team

Desirable

  • Experience in a related field (B2B transactions, procurement, supply-chain, operations, retail, ERP) is a strong plus
  • Previous experience working with technical products or solutions

What the job involves

  • As our Junior Account Executive, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth by working on deals with suppliers and manufacturers who sell goods to retailers in the DACH region
  • You'll be responsible for managing fast-moving deal cycles, primarily sourced from inbound leads through partnerships and marketing efforts
  • With a strong technical acumen, you will need to effectively explain our solution across various deployment scenarios, ensuring that customers clearly understand the value we bring to their operations
  • Manage and close deals with suppliers and manufacturers in the DACH market, focusing on opportunities with an ACV in the five-figure range
  • Handle the full sales cycle from lead qualification to closing, primarily working with inbound leads generated through partnerships and marketing initiatives
  • Leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs and explain how our solution can be deployed to meet those needs across different scenarios
  • Work closely with the marketing and partnership teams to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to sales, optimizing the customer journey
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and adaptability in managing fast-moving deal cycles, which can range from a few weeks to several months
  • Gather customer feedback throughout the sales process and provide insights to the product and marketing teams to enhance our offerings and messaging

Our take

B2B transaction (payments, information sharing, and collaboration between different companies) has been late to digitise, with many businesses still using legacy technology from decades ago to trade with one another. This has meant that supply chains can be fraught with long waiting times and archaic processes. Procuros is a software platform aiming to modernise the processes between companies.

Whilst the automation industry is a daunting marketplace for newcomers, Procuros claims to stand out because their software connects with all ERP software, regardless of its compatibility with other trade partners and businesses. Procuros also aims to innovate the market by automating not only transactions but data entry and communication processes too.

Procuros’s USP seems to be paying off. It was awarded $9 million in seed funding in March 2022. At present, Procuros’s clients include medium-sized food retailers and mechanical engineering companies, both markets that rely on B2B transactions and supply chain management. There is much scope for Procuros to expand its clients to other industries too.
