Who you are
- 4+ years of relevant experience within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a technology or financial services firm, or within a related industry
- Member in good standing of the New York or Connecticut Bar or another state or jurisdiction
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Willing to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
- Organized and detailed oriented with big picture capability
- Familiar with technology companies a plus
What the job involves
- ICapital is looking to hire a Corporate Generalist Attorney to join the Legal team with a focus on contracts and commercial matters
- The ideal candidate will work across all functions, help manage external contractual relationships, and supervise outside counsel
- This role will work closely with both our General Counsel and other attorneys within our Legal and Compliance groups
- Draft and review complex, technology-driven client engagement agreements
- Develop and implement standard client form documentation and leverage contract lifecycle management solutions to improve efficiency and consistency of client and vendor agreements
- Draft and review a variety of general corporate agreements related to human resources, finance, marketing, real estate, facilities, and alternative investments
- Draft and review various contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documentation
- Assist with legal aspects of strategic corporate development initiatives
- Perform ad hoc research projects
