Who you are

  • This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, a passion for building world-class and highly scalable products, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • A master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a product/design team with demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage to budget and timelines, and work effectively with business partners
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and a user-centered design approach. Experience in digital payments is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to engage C-suite executives with ease
  • Proficiency in design software and familiarity with agile development processes

What the job involves

  • The Vice President of Product Experience Design will be part of Mastercard Checkout Services leadership team and will be responsible for creating and scaling user-centered solutions that enhance our product’s user experience
  • Lead and develop a team of 12-15 highly experienced product and design leaders and foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and growth
  • Develop a long term vision and strategy for the product experience team
  • Build an efficient team structure and process to achieve the vision
  • Oversee all areas of product experience design such as User research, Content, UI Design, Optimization, etc
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders and senior management, including product management, engineering, branding, marketing and legal to ensure the successful implementation of the design solutions
  • Help develop powerful product narratives and product content in partnership with the product management and product marketing team
  • Optimize the product experiences and quality of in-market solutions by analyzing product usage patterns (i.e. funnel analysis) and performing A/B testing
  • Keep a close check on the pulse of the market and customers preferences and influence the product roadmap and provide thought leadership to the team, peers, and senior management
