Company mission

To empower everyone to make the best possible decisions at every turn by removing the barriers that prevent people from analyzing data across sources and delivering the full spectrum of self-service cloud analytics and business intelligence.

Role

Who you are

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on building world class data products
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Highly analytical and collaborative qualities with strong technical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and comfort solving problems in an ambiguous environment where there is constant change
  • Have the tenacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, inspire change, and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners
  • Move fast, be a team player

Desirable

  • Experience and strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts, big data technologies, and analytics platforms
  • Snowflake experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Sigma is a massive plus, but not required—you will use Sigma every day!

What the job involves

  • With this, we are looking for a motivated and passionate Product Manager to help us continue to exemplify these values, enabling our internal teams to make use of standardized data products and assets, which will fuel the continued growth and success of Sigma
  • This role will report to the Senior Manager of Data Platform—you will have the opportunity to shape the vision and strategic roadmap of our data products, architecture, and the overall impact of Sigma’s data team, both internally and externally
  • Own and define the vision and roadmap for large, sophisticated data product workstreams (i.e. building gold data products to standardize business measurement, enhancing and scaling BI tooling to support self-service analytics, etc.)
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with Engineering, Marketing, Product, Sales, and other key stakeholders at Sigma to ensure that the product offerings address customer requirements and business needs
  • Be able to clearly articulate vision, important metrics, opportunities and challenges, and show how their team's work prioritization aligns with those goals and that of the broader data team
  • Facilitate requests from a variety of different stakeholders and objectively prioritize team work across competing interests and business needs
  • Be a champion of Sigma both internally and externally (i.e., writing content)—we are building amazing things within our own environment, and we want to share that with the world!
  • Continuously and relentlessly seek feedback around all of our internal and external processes, and look for ways to constantly improve
