Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing with at least 3 years of experience in a partnership marketing role
  • A track record of working cross-functionally, including with sales teams
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Google Analytics, Marketing Automation Tools, and Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of the marketing technology and advertising landscape
  • Demonstrable experience in scaling partner marketing programs
  • Combination of creative and analytical skills to prove what programs are working – and present back your findings

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for an enthusiastic & self-motivated Partnerships Marketing Manager to join the team to drive and support our business partnership program
  • You’ll be the champion and evangelist for spreading awareness of the Payactiv solution to support existing business partnership relationships and drive new ones
  • You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Channel Sales Team and external partners to develop marketing initiatives to drive adoption, and growth and build a leads pipeline through a broad range of partner types
  • As the Partnerships Marketing Manager, you’ll strategize, build, execute, and measure programs for prospecting and nurturing high-quality partner leads
  • Additionally, you’ll work with existing partners to develop collateral and co-marketing campaigns to support their ability to position Payactiv as the go-to solution provider and industry leader
  • Act as a primary point of contact with partner marketing leads and our Channel Sales Team, building and nurturing those internal and external relationships
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for new partnerships and continuously work to improve our channel partner program
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans across owned, paid, and earned channels driving leads pipeline through referral partners
  • Create replicable processes, campaigns, automation tools, and resources (decks, case studies, landing pages, etc.) to support and grow partner relationships
  • Craft compelling messaging and bespoke marketing materials for usage by key partners to promote the Payactiv offering
  • Working with our events manager, as well as Partner’s Events, Leads to developing and manage a calendar of joint events
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Account Management Teams to build Partner support plans and collaborative co-marketing efforts
  • Manage vendors with partner projects, including scope and timelines
  • Analyze and communicate results to rapidly scale successful programs and learnings

Our take

PayActiv technologies enable employees to access their earned wages immediately, eliminating delays and reducing the need for overdrafts or payday loans. This service functions as a cash advance and integrates seamlessly with most payroll providers. Beyond wage advances, the PayActiv app offers various tools for financial management and savings encouragement.

Critics compare the $5 fee for early wage access to high-interest payday loans. However, CEO Safwan Shah highlights that late fees and overdraft fees can reduce monthly wages by about 7% on average. Additionally, companies using PayActiv see a reduction in staff turnover by a third. In a notable move, PayActiv has waived fees for senior care workers.

The system has been successfully implemented by major corporations, including Walmart, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Uber, providing substantial support to their workforce. PayActiv's approach is part of a broader trend where earned wage access (EWA) is becoming a popular employee benefit among large employers such as Amazon and McDonald’s. Studies indicate that EWA programs help attract and retain talent among other benefits so PayActiv's service is likely to be popular and support it's scaling.
