Role
Who you are
- Engineering management experience with AI applications in high-growth engineering organizations directly managing and growing teams of 10+ engineers
- You have in-depth knowledge and experience in industry-leading technologies in machine learning (ML) and AI
- You have developed and delivered successful products from inception to production at scale using cloud technologies for large enterprises
- You have a working knowledge of a modern programming language (Python preferred), data pipeline engineering, relational database design, web platform development, API design, and distributed systems
- Expertise with industry standard data pipeline and processing tools (Spark, AWS EMR, Hadoop) and data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to build a high-level roadmap and vision for a team delivering against a collaboratively defined roadmap
- Understand and design for non-functional concerns such as performance, cost optimization, and maintainability
- Experience leading recruiting initiatives, as well as growing and organizing engineering teams
- Ability to work as part of an agile collaborative team in a fast-paced environment

- Managed, coordinated, and delivered on key initiatives such as developing new AI capabilities in the platform and delivering MapAI product features for our Healthcare Map
- Improved data quality, platform security, and release automation for AI roadmap delivery
- Delivered a scalable foundation for continuous model development, testing, and delivery, as well as other Gen AI features to our customers.
- Partnered closely with other teams across the Engineering and Product Organizations, Program Management, and Technical Leads to weigh in on project priorities, project estimation, and risk identification for roadmap projects
- Actively coached and inspired your team with timely and actionable feedback synthesized from peer input
- Contributed to hiring and growing the team by recruiting world-class engineers, ML experts, and Data Scientists

Komodo Health has built a healthcare map, an artificial intelligence and data analytics tool that tracks the healthcare encounters of well over 300 million patients. The service helps providers, pharmaceutical companies, and scientists identify opportunities for intervention and care improvements. It also helps them to analyze how products are performing in the market, identify at-risk patient groups, study the effectiveness of treatments, and detect patterns in drug and patient behavior.
Komodo Health’s comprehensive platform helps customers to better understand health and it is challenging the fragmentation of healthcare that contributes to inconsistent, unsatisfying results for both patients and providers. It has used its considerable amount of funding to focus on accelerating growth through further innovation and development of its enterprise technology platform, application suite and core data assets.
Komodo Health made cuts to its core team at the end 2022 as part of a restructuring following a large equity funding round. This is very likely to be part of a push for profitability as it gears up for an IPO. With its business strategy realigned, it is resuming hiring in all areas to continue to develop its product and grow its market share.
