Who you are

  • Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant growth marketing or digital + performance media for a digitally native business; prior experience in a start-up and ad agency
  • In-platform experience (i.e. paid search, paid social), knowledge of performance marketing metrics, comfortable with operating against growth targets and managing to specific goals
  • You are a Marketing athlete with a will to win; a team player who works both independently and collaboratively with others, leads with empathy and strives for excellence
  • Enjoys bringing data-driven recommendations to the table, proficiency in Google Sheets; strikes the right balance between analytics and storytelling
  • Fosters cross-functional relationships with teams; synthesizes results and gains support through well-designed presentations and decks

What the job involves

  • Own all digital and performance media channels (i.e. Bing, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit), implement digital media strategies, report and socialize results to senior leadership
  • Implement and optimize performance marketing campaigns (i.e. tCPAs, bidding strategies, target audiences, messaging, ad units); create the testing road map, liaison with Design to create the assets
  • Manage budget to financial targets; responsible for ad spend allocation across digital channels for full-funnel optimization
  • Partner with Data Analytics and Revenue Operations to build performance dashboards and other metric reports and data-driven outputs; educate partners on the merits of Growth Marketing

Our take

When businesses offer a 401(K) plan, a message is sent to employees and potential employees that their future is valued by their employer. However, small businesses are often left behind, being charged extortionate fees or ignored by 401(K) providers altogether, leaving many American families with no retirement savings and the potential of retiring into poverty.

Guideline spotted this oversight as an opportunity to jump in and offer small businesses an affordable 401(K). It generates income by charging each business a flat monthly fee per participant.

The company now manages retirement plans for hundreds of thousands of people in over 40,000 companies and has accumulated over $8 billion in assets under management. Benefits providers Intuit, Gusto, and Square all use Guideline as their 401(K) partners.
