Who you are

  • 4+ years of experience conducting digital consumer facing ux research on a variety of devices/platforms (desktop, smartphone, tablet) and working alongside cross-functional product teams
  • Experience with numerous user research methods, including in-person and remote moderated one-on-one sessions, concept testing, online qualitative tools, survey design, card sorting, tree testing, iterative prototype testing, contextual inquiry, ethnography, A/B testing and experimentation
  • Experience with a broad set of quantitative research and analysis methods, including task performance-based analysis, multivariate testing, and various statistical data analysis approaches (cluster, conjoint, factor, etc)
  • Experience building, facilitating, and leveraging remote/in person workshops for the purposes of strategic alignment, research, and/or ideation
  • Proven ability to strategically identify, scope, and prioritize impactful research projects alongside cross-functional stakeholders and leaders
  • Experience with creating, owning, and executing upon complex research roadmaps
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills and ability to multitask multiple projects at a time
  • Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, quick turnaround environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in research, psychology, social science, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven ability to identify and execute creative and effective user research approaches

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher to join our centralized UX Research team. You will lead research initiatives with a primary focus within our Hospitality product vertical. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and cross functional research partners, you will own the research process across all stages - from generative discovery to iterative evaluation
  • Lead the identification and scoping of research opportunities that align to business objectives and the construction, socialization, and execution of a research roadmap for a product vertical
  • Deliver a diverse range of generative and evaluative research projects from end to end, expertly leveraging a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Establish and develop relationships with cross-functional product squad members (ie. Product Designers, PMs, Eng) and leaders, while growing a culture where product decisions are deeply rooted in consumer needs
  • Collaborate effectively with the CX, Data Analytics, and Market research teams, leveraging data from various organizational sources to inform research initiatives
  • Design, craft, and and facilitate workshops and/or labs, with internal and external participants
  • Scale UX research by upskilling and empowering designers to perform research through coaching of UXR methodology
  • Partner with other UXRs to co-create the research practice (ie. culture, operations, impact), through building new pathways, systems, and ways of working
  • Demonstrate ethical considerations in user research. Uphold data privacy and user rights throughout the research process
  • Flexing your skills and previous experiences from other industries and/or roles to not only innovate our product, but also how we do research
  • Learning new skills and engage in thought leadership, inside and outside of the organization
  • Participate in conferences, courses, and activities to enhance skills
