Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and its internals
- Strong commitment to producing readable, well-designed, and well-tested solutions
- Extensive experience with infrastructure tooling, particularly Crossplane
- Background in software engineering, preferably with Go
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs/Routing, Transit Gateway, etc.)
- Proficiency with load balancing and reverse proxies (NLBs and Nginx)
- Experience in network security (Web Application Firewalls, Rate Limiting, DDoS mitigation, etc.)
Desirable
- Passion for Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem
- Deep understanding of the Kubernetes API, architecture, resource model, and programming paradigms
- Active participation in open-source communities, including contributions, speaking engagements, and blogging
What the job involves
- As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and operating our Internal Developer Platform
- This platform consists of a portal built with Backstage and a control plane powered by Crossplane
- Contribute to expanding the platform's offerings and capabilities Deliver high-quality, well-tested, and reliable functionality and services to production environments Collaborate with DevOps teams to assess and recommend technologies that support organizational needs Work closely with other infrastructure teams to holistically integrate their offerings into the platform Design and communicate thoughtful, thorough architectures for new initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the platform and its components
- Identify, report, and fix bugs in both private and public projects
