Who you are

  • The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, capable of translating functional needs into comprehensive project plans and technical solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in Finance Operations or a related area
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Order to Cash and Go-To-Market processes and systems
  • A natural curiosity and desire to understand the desired outcomes of projects
  • A very strong propensity to ask “why?”
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, Zip, etc., is a plus

What the job involves

  • The Finance Operations Project Manager will support the Senior Finance Operations Solutions Architect in managing various cross-functional projects, initiatives, and systems enhancements
  • This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless execution of projects that drive and enhance Finance Operations and Accounting processes at Klaviyo
  • Assist in translating functional needs into detailed project plans and technical solutions
  • Support the Senior Finance Operations Solutions Architect in leading project intake and design sessions across Finance, GTM Operations, SMEs, and business leaders
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution from intake to delivery
  • Act as a liaison between the Finance Systems team and other cross-functional teams to support scoping technology solutions, enhancements, or optimizations
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
  • Monitor and recommend changes to improve processes, technology, and data quality
  • Support the implementation of end-to-end processes, identify and close gaps in processes and dependencies, and contribute to transforming the technology landscape
  • Follow Technology Governance by completing project intake sessions, introducing standard methodologies, principles, templates, and repeatable processes
  • Assist in the creation of testing plans, templates, and carrying out end-to-end projects and testing objectives
  • Through partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders, support change management initiatives, UAT, programs, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives

This allows companies to bring all of their first-party data into a single platform to get a deep understanding of their customers and then activate that data to deliver highly-targeted, personalised communications through email and SMS. In the process, Klaviyo's customers get a deep understanding of their consumers.

Klaviyo is a fast-growing company mainly due to its business model - the firm offers a concrete ROI for Klaviyo’s clients if the software persuades customers to make purchases by treating different types of customers differently. An IPO in 2023 has led to Klaviyo's release of Klaviyo AI, which empowers businesses to unlock revenue-driving opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences across channels. Still in its early days of public listing, it will be interesting to see how Klaviyo fares in the years to come.
