Who you are

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a sales focussed partnerships role in the technology industry (preferably in the areas of e-commerce or payments)
  • A strong interest in e-commerce or payments, with an enthusiasm for developing meaningful partnerships, creating commercial opportunities, and are well-connected within the industry
  • Independent, entrepreneurial, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets (closing, managing, and enabling new and existing partners to refer merchants successfully)
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, including public speaking
  • A collaborative team player with experience working with different commercial teams to drive channel growth and success
  • A high sense of personal responsibility and the initiative to establish and promote partnerships while representing Mollie as a brand in the UK market
  • A willingness to travel, including visiting partners and also to Mollie’s HQ in Amsterdam, as well as the willingness to participate in trade fairs and events outside of regular working hours

What the job involves

  • Do you get excited about building a strong network of digital agencies? Are you at your best when you get to meet new people, visit events and become a real e-commerce consultant on payment strategy? If so, then you could be our new Partnership Manager - UK!
  • We’re looking for someone to further strengthen Mollie’s position amongst the top agencies in the UK, and ensure that a growing source of new Mollie customers emerges from it
  • As a Partnership Manager you will play a critical role in building Mollie’s UK business by using your experience in advising digital agencies and their ecommerce merchants to utilise Mollie's financial services to successfully grow their businesses
  • Through agency relationships, a consultative approach and your understanding of the digital e-commerce landscape, you will act as a strategic partner to your assigned agencies and have an impact on growing Mollie’s UK footprint
  • As an individual contributor, you'll be supported by our Field Marketeers, Support, Sales and Onboarding specialists and will benefit from working alongside the smartest payments specialists within Europe
  • Identifying and establishing partnerships with agencies using various methods, including outbound sales, personal networks, social selling, and participating in events
  • Nurturing a portfolio of agency partnerships throughout their whole lifecycle; from pitching and demonstrating the advantages of Mollie to building high-value relationships over multiple touch-points
  • Applying your partnership skills to unlock the maximum potential of the partnership, helping agencies grow and generating high-quality leads through a variety of activities - for example:
  • Using your strong relationship management skills and best practices (e.g. launch plans, QBRs, etc.)
  • Ideating, launching, and optimising co-marketing activities (e.g. webinars, white-papers, panel participation etc.)
  • Leveraging the wider Mollie organisation (including stakeholders from Product, Sales & Customer Success) to provide specialist support & expertise
  • Acting as the main point of contact for Mollie within the UK agency community, showcasing your expertise in our product by using consultative sales strategies
  • Transforming agencies into advocates for the Mollie brand, encouraging them to recommend Mollie to their clients and wider e-commerce networks

Application process

  • To start with you'll have an introductory call with Mollie’s talent acquisition team, which will be focussed on team fit and your general knowledge. This round will be conducted via Hangouts
  • After that you will meet Tom Smith (Agency Lead - UK & France) and Johnnie Norton (Sales Lead - UK) which will be focussed on your experience
  • In the third round, you will receive a take-home assignment which you will present to the team including Marianne Deenik (Head of Agency Partnerships)
