Role

Who you are

  • We’re looking for someone with 4+ years experience managing a 360 sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline management and delivering a thorough end-to-end sales process
  • You have a proven track record of generating pipeline and closing new business revenue
  • You have experience with outbound sales, from researching accounts & identifying key contracts to building targeted messaging & closing deals
  • Outside of selling, you get energised by leading or taking ownership of cross-collaborative initiatives that create growth opportunities
  • For the right candidate, there will be progression opportunities which could include people management so if you have previous experience or a desire to lead a team, we'd love to hear from you

What the job involves

  • It’s an exciting time to join our Sales team, as historically almost all of our sales have been inbound. We dialled up outbound activities 6 months ago and have already seen great results, so we want to scale these efforts
  • You'll be a key member of the Sales team at Otta, landing great companies on our platform, so that we can help even more candidates to secure their dream job
  • You’ll be reporting to Steph (Head of Sales), and work closely with our Commercial leaders Caroline (Country Manager), Lauren (CS Lead) & Abby (Head of Revenue Ops) to drive behavioural change amongst companies and help solve some of the biggest problems that make job search so frustrating today
  • You’ll test and iterate on ideas to flush out a high quality pipeline, and improve the efficiency of the Sales team - while ensuring we anticipate, manage and influence companies that aren’t ready to commit

Application process

  • Exploratory call with Claudia, (UK People Partner), to understand your motivations, experience to date, & answer any initial questions you have (30 mins)
  • Mock sales meeting with Steph (Head of Sales) to test your core sales skills, including a follow-up written assignment (45 mins)
  • Skills interview with Steph & Marion (BDR Team Lead) to discuss your approach to certain scenarios, specific to Otta and the role, and your working style (60 mins)
  • Values interview with Caroline (Country Manager) or Sarah (Head of Finance) to discuss what you might bring to the role, how you might embody our values, and any final questions from you (45 minutes)
