What the job involves

  • We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our Mid-Market Account Executive Team in North America
  • Our Account Executive, Mid-Market team is rapidly growing and focused on driving Clio value for larger law firms. They generate pipeline, forecast opportunities, evaluate technical product fit, and partner towards solutions to complex business problems leveraging Solution Engineers and our Channel
  • Day-to-day management, coaching and mentorship of your Account Executive Mid-Market team
  • Hold team accountable to attainment metrics and KPI’s
  • Advise on strategic deals and negotiations; join negotiations as required
  • Deliver on monthly, quarterly and annual MRR target for your team
  • Maintain accurate salesforce data for your team and provide reliable forecast information to upper management
  • Actively participate in territory planning, opportunity development and in-territory events for your team and the Mid-Market segment
  • Run pilot projects and experiments that help your team and the segment level up
  • Diligent use of sales tools (Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, ScratchPad, ZoomInfo, Sales Nav, Gong, etc.)
  • Recruit, hire, onboarding and provide continued training to meet headcount needs, increase efficiency and attainment of team
  • Lead by example on all issues pertaining to sales team management
  • Expertly manage day so that time can be split between team management and other segment and leadership initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and our extended cross-functional teams to represent the Mid-Market segment comprehensively to the business including in strategic planning with solution engineering, marketing, CS, product, enablement, GTM, finance, legal, security, etc.
  • Lead and support cross-functional Mid-Market initiatives and segment all-hands
  • Partner with SVP of Global Sales and VP Channel in the case of escalations and be a trusted advisor for Mid-Market and All-Sales
  • Additional duties, as required

Our take

Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialised remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.

Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.

Clio has raised a large amount of investment capital, most recently in a 2021 Series E round which saw the company attain unicorn status with a valuation exceeding $1 billion. This funding is being used to accelerate its product development, hire additional talent, and for expansion into new markets with a focus on the EMEA region, particularly the UK and Ireland.
