Company mission

LRN's mission is to inspire principled performance in organizations by helping them foster winning, ethical cultures.

Role

Who you are

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management or Learning Design. Ideally with exposure of working in a pre-sales function
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Strong client-facing and experience
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management
  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Experience of scoping new projects and establishing requirements

What the job involves

  • Responsible for scoping new projects and work offerings as part of the sales cycle
  • Partner with Sales to identify suitable offerings for client learning needs, price points and timescales
  • Partner with Clients to understand their business needs and translate them into learning outcomes
  • Partner with Resourcing and Delivery teams to ensure that Sales provides the client with accurate start and delivery dates
  • Partner with Legal to ensure accurate assumptions in contracts
  • Create and maintain sales support materials to ensure we set accurate client expectations. These will include demo links, timeline charts and effort calculations
  • As our Pre-Sales Manager, you will ensure that LRN’s sales are ‘production-ready’ with realistic scope, timeline, effort assumptions and pricing baked into the contract. Positioned in the Delivery org., you will work with Sales to scope prospective deals in the sales pipeline, with Clients to understand their needs early in the sales process, and with Resourcing to manage timelines and availability. You will also ensure that contracts have accurate assumptions and scope verbiage
  • A key part of this role will be identifying the need for, creating and maintaining sales support materials. These materials will ensure that our Sales team shows the client accurate samples and demos that match different price points and timelines. You will ensure that there is an effective communication channel between yourself, GTM, Sales and CSM’s to ensure you are well informed and can nimbly adapt approach and support materials when needed
  • You will also be expected to perform continual review of pre-sales process and hand off to delivery to remove any impediments and drive efficiency
  • The success of the role will be judged on LRN’s ability to start new projects on time, and deliver on budget and to client timelines, based on an accurate scoping exercise ahead of sale

Otta's take

Sam Franklin

CEO of Otta

In recent years, the ethics and compliance of large businesses have had a considerable amount more light shone on them thanks to a societal push for more transparency in environmental, social, and governance areas. LRN, or Legal Research Network, may be a legacy company dating back to 1990, but as DE&I and corporate ethics have grown in importance in recent years, its work has seen a renewed prominence.

LRN offers corporate and workforce training on diversity and compliance, whilst providing data-driven analytics to help companies improve their standards. In 2022, LRN expanded its DE&I learning package and won awards for its corporate training videos, exemplifying how they are well placed to meet the evolving standards of companies in the modern day.

Using its data analysis platform, LRN has also reported that ethical companies outperform their competitors by up to 40% in their Benchmark of Ethical Culture paper. Though the report may naturally lean in LRN’s favour, it still acts as proof that its work is highly beneficial for large corporations and continues to thrive.
