Role
Who you are
- We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated success in leveraging data to solve real-world business problems in SaaS or services-focused companies
- You’re passionate about using data to solve hard problems, and you’re an expert in analyzing complex data and crafting compelling narratives to communicate your insights
- 2+ years of relevant experience as data analyst (ideally SaaS or services-oriented companies)
- Experience leveraging data to inform business decisions
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL and spreadsheet (GSheet/Excel)
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker
- Strong communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working with sales, marketing, or finance teams
- Experience with DBT, Snowflake, and Fivetran
- Experience working with Salesforce and Zuora data
- Experience with Python
What the job involves
- As a data analyst at Pilot, you'll join a group of high-performing and motivated data professionals focused on impact and collaboration. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to solve business-critical problems with your analytical skills
- Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover insights and influence business decisions
- Create and maintain company-wide metrics and reporting in Looker
- Build high-quality DBT pipelines to automate data analysis and empower scalable analytics
- Handle ad-hoc data requests, while addressing stakeholder teams’ long-term goals
- Train and mentor other teams on how to best use data to drive their decisions

Going forward Pilot aims to be to startups and medium-sized firms what AWS is to cloud computing - a comprehensive, easily scalable solution that prevents the need to reinvent a necessary but non-core function from scratch. With rapid revenue growth and significant financial backing from investors, it is well poised to achieve this.
