Role

Who you are

  • You have at least 2 years of experience (in addition to your internships) as a legal counsel in commercial law and IT law +GPDR (french law)
  • You have legal skills that you apply in a practical and business-oriented way
  • You have strong negotiation skills with a practical and business-oriented approach
  • You are a problem solver and adaptable to change
  • You have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills (in French and English)
  • You are autonomous, structured & organized
  • You are able to explain clearly legal topics to non-lawyers and you enjoy this educational approach

What the job involves

  • You will be part of the Global Legal team composed of 10 people and working for France, Spain, the UK, and Germany
  • You will work as a business partner to support operational teams on the legal aspects of their projects
  • You will handle all Commercial Legal topics and will report directly to our Head of Legal
  • You will work in collaboration with another Commercial Legal Counsel
  • As a Commercial Legal Counsel, you will handle a great variety of cutting-edge legal topics on your own supported by the Head of Legal
  • Be in charge of the legal relationship with our customers and partners by supporting our sales, customer success, and business teams (contracts negotiations, training, creating/updating templates, managing customer's requests)
  • Work on Legal Ops initiatives for the Legal Team (contract management tools, knowledge management, internal communication, etc.)
  • Handle the legal aspects of our product's new features, integrations, and projects with the product teams (General terms of use, users journey, API connections, product partnerships)
  • Support the brand marketing team in the legal aspects of their projects (advertising campaigns, events, communications, etc.)
  • Ensure the protection of our immaterial assets (trademarks, domain names, software, etc.)
  • Work with local external counsel and hand-in-hand with other global legal team members (France & abroad)

PayFit is one of the fastest-growing SaaS startups in Europe and the largest HR administration platform in France. PayFit is revolutionising HR software by automating payroll and simplifying HR management for SMEs. The company aims to support the digital transformation of SME's Human Resources through a reliable SaaS solution that offers a unique experience to its users.

PayFit leverages its own coding language to customise its software quickly to each market so that its customers can easily process payslips, request holidays and manage their expenses. Most importantly, its solutions are made to be used by anyone without an accounting background or a grounding in local laws, the product promises to do all that heavy lifting for its users.

Payfit has had no trouble securing institutional funding as the company has had no problems with revenue. In fact, Payfit has yet to have a year without revenue increase since its inception.
