Role

Who you are

  • At least 1 year of work experience with a good track record at work and in academia
  • Passion and enthusiasm for the problems we are solving, and an ability to use creativity and initiative in pursuit of these goals
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and being ready to take on a lot of responsibility quickly
  • Experience with data driven decision making is highly beneficial
  • Previous work experience in any of the following would be interesting:
  • Management Consulting
  • A relationship focused client-facing environment such as partner / account management
  • Relevant work in a consumer finance, fintech or B2B tech company

What the job involves

  • This is NOT a sales role. You will be a driver for performance for our business and that of our partners and will problem solve, bring your ideas to the table and collaborate with teams across disciplines to capitalise on commercial opportunities. You will bring an analytical mind, an entrepreneurial attitude, a consultative approach and a lot of proactivity
  • Supporting the commercial lead for the loans business with a clear view to owning your own core vertical within six months to a year
  • Turning ideas into projects in an agile start-up environment
  • Working closely with the product team and partners on continuous optimisation of the product and the conversion funnel, you will manage commercial relationships with existing partners, as well as negotiate deals with new partners
  • You will also dive deep into our platform’s rich data to derive key business and new initiative insights, produce reports and spot trends, converting them into actions that help our users and partners

Our take

The number of loan options for consumers has exploded in recent years, making credit assessment super important for companies offering these loans and giving ClearScore a big market to grow into.

Traditionally, lenders had a more 'computer says no' approach when it came to making loan decisions. With the wealth of data now available on people, credit assessment can be made smarter. ClearScore's approach has been to add on innovative products outside of credit scoring, e.g. helping consumers understand how to improve their financial position and offering car and home insurance.

In 2025, the company secured impressive funding from HSBC to fuel its product line and customer service channel growth. It has also successfully acquired a number of smaller fintechs, such as Money Dashboard in 2022 and Aro Finance in January 2025, further aiding ClearScore in its growth mission and product expansion.
