Company mission

To build tools to transform the role of security in the enterprise sales process.

Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years in a similar role at a B2B SaaS company
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - previous experience as an early joiner in a technology startup or evidence that you are scrappy with a "get-it-done" attitude. You thrive in an ambiguous environment and want to wear many hats
  • A track record of working on multiple projects simultaneously, while operating independently to drive projects to completion
  • High-level technical understanding of software and concepts such as Cloud Service Providers, Identity Providers(IdPs), CDN’s (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly), Authentication Providers (Auth0), Email Delivery Services (Postmark, Courier)
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills with a knack for attention to detail
  • A history of successfully working in similar roles with large enterprise customers. You understand that onboarding new tools at large organization involves managing multiple moving parts
  • A creative mind. As a small team, major features can take time to build. You know how to take what a customer wants and find alternative ways to enable them to accomplish their goals with the existing product
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Customer Success, Engineering)
  • Experience being customer facing and enjoys helping customers reach their business goals

Desirable

  • Previous security industry experience. While a formal security background isn’t required, it would certainly help
  • Prior roles at security software companies and a familiarity with security terms and acronyms
  • Familiarization with automation tools such as Zapier, Tray, or Tines
  • Previous exposure to SIEM/Audit tools such as DataDog, Sentry, Fullstory, BigQuery, and Mixpanel
  • High level understanding of technical concepts such as SAML, JSON, DNS, and REST APIs
  • General knowledge with a scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, and JavaScript) and a desire to expand those skills

What the job involves

  • As a Solutions Engineer, Implementation you'll be a technical champion, supporting customers throughout their SafeBase journey – pre-sales, onboarding, and beyond
  • You’ll act as a trusted advisor to help our customers achieve their business objectives through technical solutions
  • Operate in a consultative manner and are seen as a trusted partner, subject matter expert and advisor
  • Shape SafeBase’s future by influencing product strategy and priorities based on your deep understanding of customer needs
  • Own the implementation and configuration of our Enterprise customer’s integrations (e.g. Salesforce, SAML and DocuSign integrations)
  • Regularly communicate with diverse, internal stakeholder groups, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success
  • Engage with the SafeBase Product team to align our product roadmap with customer requirements
  • Provide ongoing technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues related to integrations, NDAs, and customer error tracking
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert and clearly articulate the value of SafeBase solutions and the methods to our customers
  • Act as a technical advisor to key customer stakeholders, liaise with technical professionals such as CISOs, Security Teams, and IT managers to ensure long term success
  • Champion customer knowledge by crafting comprehensive help articles and technical content (sample code, demos, etc.) to show customers how to implement specific use cases or best practices
  • Actively look for ways to improve our processes through your experience, team collaboration and customer feedback

Our take

Security assessment for B2B companies looking to sell to enterprises can be a gruelling process. Such assessments can drag on for weeks, inflating overhead costs and stagnating progress. This is where Safebase comes in: its platform allows companies to automatically monitor and present its security program.

Through use of Safebase, companies can shave days off of the assessment process by ensuring accurate information and updates are immediately available on a unique security status page. It has a steadily increasing number of customers, and is directed primarily at smaller startups who lack the funding (or need) to conduct full security audits. This includes likes of Instacart and LinkedIn, suggesting that Safebase’s proposition is appealing as more than just a money-saving strategy

Since being founded in 2020, and joining the Y-Combinator startup accelerator the same year, Safebase has been steadily gaining momentum. Further, recent funding secured will be used to invest into its platform and develop its services further.
