Who you are

  • 3+ years of software development experience with strong familiarity in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ES6+ features
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, NextJS
  • Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm, yarn, turbo pack)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience implementing accessible web interfaces
  • Awareness of user experience (UI/UX) principles and design patterns

  • Through collaborative efforts, this dynamic team plays a pivotal role in driving Wayfair's growth and solidifying its position as a leader at the intersection of fintech and customer loyalty in the e-commerce sector
  • You will work in a global team, with on-premise and cloud-based deployments in an inclusive environment
  • Own the output of the team both from a technical and performance perspective
  • Mentor engineers in the team through training, coaching, code reviews, and 1:1 mentorship providing career and professional development for your staff
  • Work not only within your pod, but across F&L and wider Wayfair Eng. to create and leverage standard APIs
  • Accountable for the systems built by your team including technical design, development, test, monitoring, and deployment
  • Engage your team to construct the technical roadmap and lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement
  • Partner with product on defining roadmaps and ensure the team has a compelling mission with well defined KPIs to measure progress and success
  • Raise the bar from both a technical and process perspective
