What the job involves
- We’re looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager to shape the future of the patient experience here at Headway
- The patient experience is at the crux of our mission here at Headway to increase affordable access. As a product leader at the helm of the patient charter, you will be responsible for not only setting the vision and strategy to ensure patients are quickly connected to the right quality provider for them but also defining how we move beyond the initial match to be a partner for patients throughout their mental health journey.

- Craft delightful, data-driven product experiences to ensure our patients get high-quality care quickly
- Develop a vision and strategy for how we engage and support patients throughout their mental health journey
- Work closely with design, engineering, data, and other cross-functional partners to learn and ship quickly
- Deeply understand and embody the voice of our patients, while staying close to your team in order to quickly build and iterate on products for the patient journey
- Headway employees work remotely across the US, with the option to work from offices in New York City and San Francisco. Headway participates in E-Verify

1 in 4 US citizens are currently living with treatable mental health conditions, however, a vast majority of people are unable to access the care they need, the primary reason being cost. Headway connects clients with therapists who accept insurance as payment and provides independent practitioners with the tools and resources needed to serve their patients and manage administrative workloads.
Headway’s concept is timely, with national mental health under particular strain following events from the past few years. The company facilitates over 300,000 appointments per month and has attracted backing from the likes of Accel and Google Ventures.
Covering 16 states and the District of Columbia, the company intends to broaden its presence across the US using its 2023 Series C funding of $125 million. This is a crucial avenue for further growth, as medical care deserts across the US mean the potential market is vast.
