Role

Who you are

  • 8+ years' experience in leading, managing and scaling Design teams
  • A strong portfolio of work, specifically in product design, showcasing full understanding of communication and visual skills
  • Experience developing complex design systems for digital products and print for a B2B business, from mobile and web applications, ad creatives, to printed reports and event collateral
  • Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment like product companies, growing startups
  • Strong command of English (written, spoken) and French is desired

What the job involves

  • As Brand Design Lead - Marketing, you will be essential in scaling marketing efforts from digital to print, video to animation to further build and optimize the deployment of our brand identity.
  • Reporting to the VP of Marketing and working within the marketing team, you will help scale our design capacity across all channels and teams.
  • You will be working under the VP Marketing, within the Marketing team, while collaborating closely with the Chief Product Officer and Cofounder to ensure design consistency across marketing assets and the Sweep Platform
  • You will own the Design system, tools and processes and make sure that our design capacity is scalable across the company
  • Lead a team of freelance designers and multimedia producers working across the marketing, product marketing and sales teams. You will develop and constantly improve processes, tools and workflows while also setting task-based goals for them
  • You will actively search out top talent, and propose how to scale and structure the activity (developing use of user friendly tools to enable other marketing team members on simple assets, and more)
  • You will be collaborating with senior management, content and digital growth leads, in developing and communicating business goals across different channels and creative assets
  • You will ensure quality in your own work and the freelance team that you work with and strive to elevate the level of design and consistency that help reach Sweep’s business goals
  • You will easily switch between coordination and be able to roll up your sleeves and participate in the design process (creating or directing eye catching ad creatives, website graphics, social media videos, to animations and more)

Our take

Even as eco-friendly sentiment increases, the vast majority of companies aren’t measuring their emissions accurately and regularly. And, with ESGs and carbon-tracking ramping up the corporate agenda, companies are scrambling for solutions, especially in light of the coming sustainable reporting regulations.

Sweep, which targets carbon management in large enterprises at the FTSE 500 level, delivers software that enables users to "take control of their climate journey" - with a toolsuite that makes carbon data collection, security and analysis seamless and automated.

With Sweep, the burden on companies to track their impact is lessened, leaving them to focus on actively reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to global net-zero efforts. Though there are other players in the market, such as Plan A, Watershed, and Emitwise, Sweep has secured itself a leading position with smart partnerships and a deep focus on the specific tech requirements of the space.

The company has seen good funding, being one of the best-funded carbon management platforms on the market. In 2022, Sweep interestingly reported on the ineffectiveness of traditional carbon offsetting - which has for some time been up for debate - and published a carbon reduction methodology designed to "limit financial and reputational risks and add moral weight to corporate climate programmes."
