Role

Who you are

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics within a technology business
  • Experience managing, coaching and developing junior analysts and working cross-functionally with back-end and data engineers + product teams to implement and maintain a clearly defined datawarehouse of key metrics
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
  • Have excellent analytical skills and ability to deeply understand, interpret, and validate the data you are working with
  • Proven analytics work experience in customer segmentation, anomaly detection, user personas, lifetime value, attribution, experimentation, channel analysis, cohort analysis, etc
  • Have a solid knowledge of statistical methods including data mining, predictive modeling, and reporting technologies
  • You have strong ability with Python, SQL & Excel (standard analysis and pulling charts). Knowledge of R, or similar is a bonus
  • Have experience with data visualisation techniques and BI tools such as Datastudio, Looker, Tableau to produce dashboards and reports
  • Have excellent ability to communicate and present data analysis to various stakeholders
  • You’re the commercially-minded person in the engineering discussion and the person pointing out the technical considerations in the meeting of business people

What the job involves

  • Set the direction for data and analytics within GetHarley - working closely with the VP Commercial and our back-office engineering team to restructure our data warehousing, key reports and analytics team structure
  • Build business cases and communicate clear ROI for the investment in tech, team etc needed to get data and analytics ready for rocketship scale within GetHarley
  • Drive actionable insights and recommendations that can be communicated across the business to non-technical commercial stakeholders to guide our strategy and measure our KPIs
  • Be instrumental in taking our business to the next level with data analysis and visualisation
  • Help all teams use data in an effective way to facilitate conversations and enable data-driven and data-informed decisions and make this a core part of the GetHarley culture
  • Hire a team of rockstar commercial analysts and technical analysts to support GetHarley’s business needs and keep data at the centre of our decision-making
