Role

Who you are

  • We are looking for talented sales executives who will help customers understand the value of the secure coding approach to security and software development
  • We are looking for someone who preferably combines a sales background with experience in Security or DevOps
  • Strong sales skills are essential, along with solid presentation skills and the ability to guide prospects through the sales cycle with minimal support
  • Ideal candidates must be self-motivated with strong knowledge in IT, security, and compliance space: DevOps, Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, Web Application Scanning, or other enterprise security solutions
  • Strong track record of hunting, consulting, and closing new business
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in response to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
  • Extensive relevant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to travel throughout the sales territory (post-COVID-19 pandemic)
  • Able to comfortably present to prospects and clients using video conferencing solutions in a work-from-home environment

What the job involves

  • Account Executives at Secure Code Warrior are on the front lines every day, championing the change in secure coding
  • This exciting opportunity will see you as the Account Executive responsible for actively driving and managing new direct and channel business within an assigned territory
  • Hunt, develop, and close new and expand business opportunities
  • Delivery high-level and detailed sales presentations
  • Respond to functional elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Reporting through the Company’s CRM
  • Responsible for attending conferences, seminars, virtually, in-region, and nationally
  • Ability to manage a realistic sales funnel, follow up on inbound leads quickly, and cold call into large Fortune 500 / S&P 500 size organizations

Our take

The cybersecurity market is going through a massive transformation as the nature of attacks grows more sophisticated, and the very infrastructure that companies build on becomes more complex to defend. Standing apart from other businesses addressing this, Secure Code Warrior does not offer security solutions, but instead allows systems to be implemented from the ground up through developers themselves.

This has proven to be a great idea, especially as companies have recently been much more open to online staff training, or upskilling. Secure Code Warrior’s platform is extremely popular, with teams at major companies like MasterCard, Reddit, the BBC, IKEA, and Zoom using it to train their developers to code in a secure manner.

Though the cybersecurity market is fiercely competitive, Secure Code Warrior appears to have found its place within it. In 2022 it joined GuidePoint Security's Emerging Cyber Vendor Program, which supports emerging cybersecurity vendors in expanding their federal footprint, and in 2023 it secured 50 million USD in funding to help further develop the platform and increase its market share.
