Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles, Azure DevOps, Linux/PowerShell/Bash, docker, AKS
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools
- Have a good understanding and have the experience of creating Azure services using Infrastructure as code
- 2+ years experience with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
- Extensive full-stack web development experience
- Working knowledge of server-side and client-side frameworks. Java and Coldfusion (nice to have)
- Good knowledge SQL / relational database experience (we use AzureSQL)
- Goal orientation and a record of success managing cloud infrastructure
- A strong appetite for solving problems while dealing with high levels of ambiguity
What the job involves
- EzCater is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our MSI Engineering team, a key part of the Partner Solutions organization
- This team is responsible for foundational capabilities, building and maintaining services that serve workloads related to menus, orders, users, payments, identity / Authentication, and third-party service integrations
- Learn the existing MSI cloud (we use Azure) and on-premise environment. In the meantime, create documentation for future reference and training
- As the DevOps leader in this domain, you’ll be guiding us on our new cloud infrastructure expansion while supporting our day-to-day software Development life cycle & a number of other fundamental tech capabilities
- Build and maintain cloud CI/CD pipelines
- Automate and maintain code deployment to various environments in the cloud
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and metrics capabilities
- The goal? help ezCater to grow its engineering backbone, setting us up for the long haul
- Monitor Azure System health dashboard, metrics and security alerts
- Work closely with Engineers to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture of our cloud environment
- Manage and scale cloud-based containerized infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new features
- Carryout software/system/cloud infra upgrades/updates in a timely manner with Engineers
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise
- Cost saving – ensure we are spending wisely on cloud infrastructure

Our take
ezCater is an online marketplace app that provides catering options for businesses, working with food providers who enter their menus onto the app for customers to browse. ezCater sends each store its orders and handles customer service whilst the food providers fulfill the orders.
ezCater profits by charging a small commission on all orders that restaurants fulfill. The company counts JLL, RingCentral and the San Francisco 49ers among its customers. It previously fuelled expansion through acquisitions such as online catering platform GoCater in 2018 and MonkeySoft Solutions in 2019.
ezCater has enjoyed strong growth so far, in part by focusing on meal deliveries to a growing hybrid workforce as an employee benefit. It has been eyeing an IPO for some time, though these plans are yet to come to fruition. In the meantime, it has continued to develop its technology and unveiled a new supplier diversity program to uplift small businesses owned by underrepresented groups.
