Who you are

  • You have expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing business partnerships with C-suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10-12+ years of business development or related experience closing big deals
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful partnerships with SMB home service professionals, their suppliers, wholesalers, franchises, and enterprise partners
  • Experience in managing and scaling lead generation for large-scale enterprise deals
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, resources, and KPIs
  • Expertise in negotiation, relationship building, and market analysis

What the job involves

  • As the Vice President, Business Development, you are responsible for fueling Company growth by partnering with innovative, forward thinking companies to accelerate the adoption of our product in the marketplace
  • Your objective is to understand the prospective enterprise partner’s business model, how they make money, what value they add to their customers, as well as their specific company goals
  • You recommend and build agreement towards an execution plan aligning both HCP and partner critical paths
  • Success is measured by the number of enterprise partners acquired, customers acquired and revenue generated from partnerships
  • You lead your team to effectively deliver customer and business value
  • You collaborate cross-functionally and cross-culturally to develop strong, trusting connections with stakeholders, uphold and exemplify our company values, and shape the culture within your area

  • Establish and track KPIs to evaluate the performance and success of business development initiatives
  • Represent the company in negotiations, industry events, and partnership discussions, building trust and credibility
  • Inspire, mentor, and guide a high-performing team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making
  • Oversee the department’s team members, resource planning, and operational efficiency to ensure alignment with financial goals

Housecall Pro offers an all-in-one business management app for home-services professionals operating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and landscaping businesses.

The resurgent home services market is expected to be worth well over $1 trillion by 2030. With the vast majority of businesses in the space either small or medium sized, there’s obvious value in backend software to take care of laborious but necessary admin in one place.

After five years as a Board Member, Michael Beaudoin became CEO in 2020 to help lead the company’s expansion. Considering that Beaudoin previously spent 13 years at the helm of highly successful home contractor marketplace HomeAdvisor, this seemed to be a shrewd move.

Indeed, the decision has been validated by the company’s 50% year over year growth since then, coupled with its major fundraising efforts and continued expansion within the US and Canada.
