Role
Who you are
- We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas, have a curious nature and are passionate about working in an Engineering environment which focuses on building products to achieve the company's strategic goals
- We seek engineers who are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full stack as we push technology forward
- An established track record of building modern single-page web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js or React
- Experience in web application design and state management solutions
- A willingness to learn new skills and using the best tools for the job
- Experience in Software Development, Design, and Architecture, with security in mind
- Good practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
- Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
- Experience with Unit and Integration testing
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
- Superb communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Desirable
- Experience with asynchronous, event-driven architecture
- Database experience with NoSQL
- Cloud-based application development experience
- Some experience with C# is nice to have
- Experience with writing automated tests from unit tests to e2e suites using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and performance issues in web applications, and knowing how to debug them
- Strong customer focus, you build accessible applications with a great UX

- As a Frontend Software Engineer embedded within a multifunctional team, you will collaborate with Product and Design counterparts in ideating, building and supporting the UI for Checkout.com products and services, ensuring our merchants enjoy an optimal experience across all our frontend touchpoints
- With your technical expertise, you will help define project priorities, manage deadlines, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions
