Who you are
- Enrolled in a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Deep understanding of C.S. fundamentals
- Strong programming skills with C++ or C or Golang or TypeScript
- Passionate about building highly reliable software
- Firm grasp of algorithms and data structures
What the job involves
- As a Software Engineer, Intern, you'll have the opportunity to spend 12 weeks working on one (or more) of the engineering teams at SingleStore
- As an intern, you will be at the forefront of real-time technology that’s revolutionizing how companies run their businesses every day
- With release cycles throughout the year, our engineers are accustomed to moving quickly in a rapid production environment
- To do this successfully, we work collaboratively and creatively across teams to maximize our opportunity for impact

- As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be empowered to own your projects end-to-end and be an active contributor throughout the product life cycle
- To expedite your growth path, you will partner with engineers who deeply care about your success and will lend their expertise to your professional development
- Our engineers are not just technical partners/mentors, but are also business partners who are exposed to all areas of the business, working with teams such as product, marketing, and sales
- Our Software Engineers work on small, collaborative teams to help drive our company forward. Whether you’re building new features using cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, building a reliable and scalable distributed cloud database, or productive developer experiences such as Jupyter Notebooks, state of the art SQL Query editor, Database schema management etc for SingleStore
- Our interns are responsible for projects that are deployed into production in the next release after your internship
- Your work will include everything from writing to testing software, and you’ll gain a significant understanding of both the product and the business
- A fully paid internship with an opportunity to work on challenging/interesting projects throughout the summer
- Post internship opportunities (new grad opportunities and/or additional internships)
- Exposure to a hyper growth Silicon Valley scale up
- One on one mentorship through our mentorship program to ensure our interns have all the necessary support in addition to having high level access to managers
- Working on projects that matter: opportunities for projects to go live down the line

SingleStore provides a converged data platform for transactions and analytics, which organisations can use to process and analyse their most important time-critical application workloads spanning transactions, analytics and AI.
The company can ingest and transform millions of events per day while also analysing billions of rows of data using standard SQL, while its users can query the records in real time. The hybrid architecture and speed of their technology is what differentiates them from competitors such as Oracle and SAP.
Rebranded from MemSQL to SingleStore, the new vision for the company is the ability to access data anywhere, even beyond the SingleStore platform, through global federated access that provides greater flexibility and further simplifies cloud data management for organisations. Recent series F funding will be used to fund geographic expansion as SingleStore eyes a broader swath of customers across Europe and Asia.
