Who you are

  • 5+ years of work experience configuring and selling software preferably in technology/SaaS
  • Positive, team player mentality with strong time management, organization, and presentation skills
  • Deep technical aptitude and curiosity for learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment. Experience with building Excel models or a programming language (e.g., SQL, Python)
  • Creative and open approach to problem-solving and partnering with internal teams to drive what’s best for the customer and for CaptivateIQ
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written responses to emails, customer requirements, and formal RFPs
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment

What the job involves

  • CaptivateIQ is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer who will get to be the product expert on sales calls
  • During the sales cycle, SEs perform crucial functions such as running technical discovery session(s), building proofs of concepts, demonstrating the product and how it aligns with the prospect’s technical requirements, and showcasing the various product lines that CaptivateIQ has to offer
  • A SEs main responsibility is to demonstrate how various product features and offerings address a prospect’s unique requirements
  • Partner with sales to participate in customer discovery to understand the prospect’s current state, what business problems they want to solve, and map back to the CaptivateIQ products, platforms, and solutions that will get them where they want to be
  • Leverage your technical and product expertise to be the subject matter expert on calls with prospects. Advise prospects on use-case patterns and best practices through discovery and requirements sessions
  • Execute proofs of concept and pilots to inspire and validate our prospects’ technical requirements
  • Communicate customer feedback into actionable product roadmap items
  • Provide mentorship and peer review to elevate the organization
  • Deliver enablement sessions with prospects to enable their success
  • Evangelize CaptivateIQ’s technology through blogs, meetups, interviews
  • Collaborate with CaptivateIQ cross-functional partners to meet business needs
  • Lead compelling value-based demonstrations, both standard and customized
  • Understand, track , and document product feedback and competitive intelligence from customers and advocate for the development internally by documenting and sharing with product management
  • Continuously learn, develop, and refine your pre-sales and product, solution, and platform offering knowledge and sales processes and CaptivateIQ products progress
