Who you are

  • You have 8+ years of experience in strategic consulting, business operations, business development, strategy business planning, or Chief of Staff functions; experience driving growth within a start-up environment
  • You’re an experienced leader and people manager, working with senior stakeholders and influencing cross-functionally to drive outcomes; able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, define OKRs, create vision and action plans, report on progress
  • You’re a problem solver who uncovers areas to improve with high bias towards proactive solutioning. Comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent analytical abilities and comfort with P&L mechanics/ROI analyses
  • You’re an exceptional verbal communicator, able to express a complex idea clearly and simply for an executive level audience
  • You have experience authoring strategic documentation and plans aligned to top company priorities

What the job involves

  • DoorDash is in need of an experienced operator and leader to partner cross functionally with the transformation, sales, operations, product, systems and our senior leadership team to identify strategic and efficiency opportunities, analyze the trade-offs and execute key initiatives across the Enterprise organization
  • The position will require thorough prioritization and data-driven decision-making to ensure the team is working towards the right goals and has the tools, frameworks and processes required to achieve them
  • In this role you’ll have the rare opportunity to define and lead some of the most impactful initiatives we undertake as a company
  • You will report into the Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy & Operations in our Enterprise Sales organization
  • As our Strategy & Operations Director, you’ll uncover, frame, and drive performance improvements across the sales organization and build the foundation for it to scale
  • This will include driving revenue, operational and efficiency optimization, leading strategic and cross-functional initiatives to enhance productivity, operations, and process redesign, and influencing product and system roadmapping priorities and launches
  • This role sits at the intersection of our revenue generation engine, our business teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, and as such will require ruthless prioritization and data-driven decision-making to ensure our teams are working against the right goals and have the tools needed to achieve them
  • Own, develop and refine the processes and tools for DoorDash’s largest global partners
  • Build and manage a team of high performers as well as cross-functional projects with our sales, partner management, operations, product, engineering and business operations to solve challenging business problems at scale
  • Engage with DoorDash’s leadership team and internal stakeholders to get buy-in on your proposed approaches and initiatives
  • Partner by working across internal teams (including product, finance, legal, marketing, account management, and analytics) to optimize go-to-market strategies, execute and analyze results to inform next steps
  • Drive strategic decision making in a fast paced constantly changing environment
  • Analyze the economics, value, and opportunity costs of strategic initiatives and their impact to growth, revenue and business objectives
  • Optimize tools, processes and methodologies to continuously improve, automate and scale

DoorDash was an early entrant into the last-mile restaurant delivery business, which is now crowded with the likes of Uber Eats, Postmates and GrubHub. They offer restaurants an end-to-end delivery platform, generating new business and access to a network of delivery drivers.
