What the job involves

  • We’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to help in the formation of our new Marketplace Apps team
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our newly launched dbt for Snowflake native application and in advancing our strategy of integrating dbt Cloud more closely with our cloud data warehouse partners
  • In this role, you will build products & integrations from the ground up, working iteratively with both internal dbt Labs teams and external stakeholders
  • As a Staff Engineer, you’ll be the technical backbone for the team, providing technical guidance and leadership, as well as direct technical contributions
  • Develop solutions that expose more of the dbt Cloud experience within our native application as well as adding and enhancing functionality unique to the app, including our AI chatbot Ask dbt
  • Define and manage team technical standards, release tooling, observability to ensure that we maintain a high quality bar
  • Collaborate with your product counterpart to refine our native application and integration strategy, setting a clear execution path for the team
  • Explore, evaluate, and integrate offerings from our cloud data warehouse partners to ensure that our customers get the best of both platforms
