Role
Who you are
- Proficiency in Rust or another systems programming language
- Extensive experience designing, building, and deploying software independently
- We are looking for generalists as well as specialists, for example systems programmers or engineers who have focused on performance or security
What the job involves
- Build highly reliable internal tools and services to support the Staff
- Design, build, and deploy gRPC-based services, CLI tools, or kubernetes operators
- Diagnosing and debugging complex issues in production environments
- Identifying and implementing optimizations across the entire software stack
Application process
- After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 15 minute interview (“phone interview”) during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the initial phone interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of four technical interviews:
- 1. Coding assessment in one of the following programming languages: Rust, C++, or Go
- 2. Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service
- 3. Systems hands-on: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session
- 4. Project deep-dive: Present your past exceptional work to a small audience
- 5. Meet and greet with the wider team
