Who you are

  • 5+ years carrying a quota in outbound sales, account management, or business development serving the healthcare industry, with a track record of top 25% performance
  • 3+ years of self-sourcing at least 50% of deals through outbound channels, including cold calling
  • 2+ years working with healthcare clients that have 1,000+ employees
  • Experience exceeding an annual quota of at least $750,000, or bringing in at least as much incremental revenue through partnership growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience selling to a variety of buyers in healthcare or health systems, from individual contributor users to executive decision-makers; and from companies with low-tech adoption to companies with high-tech adoption
  • Experience managing customer relationships and deals in a CRM tool

Desirable

  • Proficient in applying curiosity and experimentation to solve ambiguous problems
  • Experience taking a business from 0 to 1
  • Ability to build and scale repeatable processes for driving growth
  • Experience in both pre-sale and post-sale functions

Our take

More than half of adults in the US will be diagnosed with a mental illness during their lifetime, and yet inaccessibility of treatment remains a huge problem. That’s what Rula aims to solve, with its platform that matches users to therapists that are covered by their insurance.

The company, formerly known as Path, is partnered with a number of major health insurers, including UnitedHealthcare and Anthem, making it an accessible service for millions of Americans. It allows users to browse therapists almost instantly, with just a short questionnaire to fill in before their matches are shown.

Though the market for tech services offering mental health provision is an overstuffed one, containing giants like BetterHelp as well as newer competitors, Rula's partnerships with insurers do mark it out against the crowd. The business has been steadily growing, and significantly bolstered its executive team in 2023. Its recent rebrand was designed to emphasize its vision to improve not only access to mental health care, but also clinical outcomes.
