What the job involves

  • AI Sales Development Representative will be responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging with businesses and typically their finance decision-makers
  • Through intelligent discovery and questioning, you will need to understand their business challenges and how AppZen's artificial intelligence solutions can benefit them and the business
  • You will then be booking Zoom calls for the Account Executives to dive deeper into AppZen and further qualify
  • This role will involve cold calling, mass and personalized emails, voice notes, videos, and LinkedIn outreach so frequent rejection is inevitable, and we need someone who never lets a no affect them negatively, and will always dust themselves off and keep going
  • Month 1: 4-week structured onboarding that helps you learn the market, the personas, the tools, and the problems that AppZen helps solve; start reaching out to prospects if ready by the end of the month
  • Month 2: On a half quota (3 S1s), put your training into practice to figure out how to break into your accounts
  • Month 3: On a full quota (6 S1s), your process is up and you are generating pipeline and booking meetings

AppZen faces a large number of competitors in the finance automation space, with startups such as Expensify and Spendesk operating in the sector along with industry stalwarts such as SAP developing their own solutions. However, Appzen has carved out a strong early lead and has a large and rapidly growing client base. As it continues to develop its product it seems likely to maintain its market-leading position.

Having studied in Mumbai, they worked as an ASI Consultant for 3 years prior to over a decade at Fujitsu. They left their role as VP of Applications to co-found AppZen in November 2012.

They spent nearly 7 years at Accenture, first as Requirements Engineering Lead Researcher and later as Data Management Lead Researcher. They left this role to co-found Appzen.
