  • Northbeam is looking for an individual with excellent UX and UI skills with deep experience designing B2B products

  • Extensive UX experience working in a B2B business with enterprise customers
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver UX and UI prototypes for validation and implementation
  • A professional portfolio demonstrating strong strategic, conceptual, and visual proficiency working with data-rich products with complex workflows
  • Expert-level knowledge of industry design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
  • Experience with marketing, advertising, or eCommerce is a major plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of relevant design experience

What the job involves

  • As a Senior/Staff UX/UI Designer you will lead designing, prototyping, and evaluating the overall usability and adoptability of Northbeam’s products
  • Our mission is to create robust yet elegant solutions that compete with the world’s best user-centered platforms
  • You will have the opportunity to interface directly with clients to understand their needs
  • Alongside a cross-functional team you will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, development, delivery, and iterations of each project
  • You will have the unique opportunity to interface directly with clients to understand their needs and work alongside a cross-functional team to conceptualize, design, develop, deliver, and iterate on each project
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into requirements and designs – in partnership with a cross-functional team of product managers and engineers
  • Develop a strong UX/UI vision for the Northbeam platform, advocating for excellent design and understanding its impact on development
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity designs to communicate how the Northbeam product should work
  • Iteratively deliver and enhance products that empower Northbeam’s customers to excel in their jobs, helping marketers extract actionable insights from Northbeam’s rich data

Our take

Traditionally in-person stores used a plethora of consultants, accountants and agencies to seek improvements that would boost their bottom line. Now, in the age of internet-enabled commerce, data richness and a totally new customer acquisition landscape has made those services irrelevant.

Instead, startups like Northbeam have emerged to fulfil those roles for the modern age. In particular, Northbeam provides services for e-commerce intelligence. That means applying machine learning and first-party data to drive more efficient and scalable marketing strategies.

Northbeam received substantial funding in 2022 that is being used to expand its machine-learning capabilities, especially useful since the 2021 Apple iOS updates. These updates made it more difficult for brands to track consumer behavior across the internet and to accurately advertise to the users most likely to buy their products. Machine learning advances will undoubtedly help Northbeam get ahead of this curve.
