Role
Who you are
- Know your way around a shell
- Strong foundation in software design and system internals
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and security best practices
- 3+ years of relevant experience building and supporting production systems on a public cloud (i.e. AWS, GCP)
- Experience running large-scale infrastructure (e.g. Kubernetes clusters, in the range of 100-1,000+ nodes)
- Experience designing and supporting highly available and scalable distributed systems
- Experience debugging complex issues across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaks
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers to solve complex technical problems (mentoring, peer-reviews, design reviews, etc.)
- Own problems end-to-end and are willing to learn and pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done
- Like problem solving in a dynamic collaborative environment with modern cloud tooling
What the job involves
- Conduit’s infrastructure team builds systems and tools to enable the Conduit Platform in a reliable, secure, performant, and cost effective manner
- You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling out the infrastructure capabilities to enable user and platform growth
- In this role you'll be architecting, building, and scaling the infrastructure and services that power Conduit
- Lead design and implementation of solutions to improve availability and reliability of Conduit services
- Drive sustainable incident response and retrospectives
- Identify opportunities and drive improvements to improve user experience
- Participate in oncall rotation

The company’s collaboration with the Optimism Foundation enables Conduit’s managed services to provide next-gen scalability by automatically updating code to the OP stack, making it easier for rollups launched on its platform to become part of the Superchain, without compromising on security. Whether it be DeFi protocols, gaming companies, NFT platforms, or other on-chain providers utilizing Conduit’s platform, its flexibility enables developers to unlock new use cases and improve user experiences that would have been made impossible by traditional congestion issues.
The company’s Paradigm-led seed funding round in 2023 enabled Conduit to accelerate the development of its platform features and capabilities, such as Data Indexing, Oracles, Bridge UI, and Verifiers.
