Loan origination – the initial process of qualification and verification for a mortgage – has long been a time consuming, frustrating, and expensive procedure. Considering that over 6 million homes are sold annually in the US, the industry is calling out for a faster solution.

This is where Vesta comes in. Its Loan Origination System speeds up and brings increased transparency to mortgage loan approval, underwriting, and closing by helping lenders better understand origination processes.

The company, which was founded by a pair of former leaders at the now publicly traded mortgage Fintech Blend, has been quick to grow its headcount with major funding from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Though there’s still quite a way to go for Vesta, the fact that it’s partnering with many leading tech companies and operating in a hugely underserved niche offers plenty of encouragement for future growth.
