Company

Our take

Capsule is an online pharmacy service that believes caring is just as important as prescriptions and try to provide both, side by side, to its customers. Capsule offers same-day medication delivery, with couriers delivering prescriptions by bike or by car. There is no extra charge for using Capsule or having your medication delivered. Instead, Capsule uses a traditional pharmacy model.

Capsule are not the only startup looking to reinvent the pharmacy experience. Perhaps the most well-known digital pharmacy is PillPack, which was acquired by Amazon for close to $1 billion. Capsule is looking to stand out by utilizing technologies like predictive inventories.

In the future the company plans to become the one-stop shop for all of its users' medical needs, as well as offer deliveries for other healthcare companies. The latter service will be targeted at insurers, telemedicine providers, physicians and employers, allowing them to easily implement deliveries. This seems to be a move that could allow Capsule establish itself along all points on the tele-medicine supply chain and bring the company closer to its ultimate one-stop-shop goal.
