Role

Who you are

  • You have worked in a compliance-related role on SaaS products for at least 3 years, dealing with GDPR compliance and ISO 27001-related standards
  • You have worked in a tech start-up (that's 50 people or less) for at least 2 years
  • You are freakishly well-organised!

What the job involves

  • You will be responsible for all our compliance efforts, spanning across Legal, Data Privacy and Security.
  • We don't need you to be an expert in all these topics, but you do need to have a comprehensively detailed understanding of how all of these weave together to deliver a compliant business. We have excellent dedicated partners in all of these areas that can provide guidance and do the heavy lifting for you - you then need to coordinate them to deliver the highest standards of compliance possible!
  • Create and drive a clear Compliance Strategy that will see us build towards ISO 27001 certification.
  • Be the point of contact for our customers while you lead the completion of all customer legal and infosec requests, to help fast-track sales and build trust with our customers.
  • Be the compliance champion within the business, help the business plan for and understand the impact of decisions on our compliance efforts.
  • Run in-house trainings to ensure everyone on the team knows how to play their part in helping us stay compliant and safe.
  • Network and connect with other start-ups to learn and gain inspiration from what they are doing well when it comes to compliance.
  • Communicate - Communicate - Communicate! Let everyone on the team know about your plans, your progress, your findings, what's been delivered.
  • Be proactive and pragmatic with how you get stuff done. We'll expect you to take the lead with resolving problems, gathering opinions, taking decisions, and making sure we move at pace.
