Otta's take

Sam Franklin

CEO of Otta

The increasingly widespread adoption of remote healthcare technology, along with the quickening pace of tech development, has led to a healthtech sector boom that shows no sign of slowing. This means the market is getting fiercely competitive for smaller startups looking to scale. SomX is an agency specifically targeting such companies, and has worked with over 25 of them to cultivate communications strategies, produce content, and win them industry exposure.

Highly specialist agencies are becoming increasingly common these days, but SomX have managed, for now at least, to carve out a fairly independent niche for themselves in the UK market. The founding pair have extensive experience across both the heathtech and communications sectors which, even if competition does begin to close in, should give them a strong headstart. Certainly, healthtech content production requires a level of expertise that could keep SomX’s field relatively uncluttered.
