Our take

Endpoint is an eSports organization devoted to increasing the United Kingdom’s presence in the competitive gaming landscape. In doing so, it has found success in games such as Rainbow Six Siege and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The team has won hundreds of thousands of dollars through its performance alone.

Besides winnings, Endpoint is funded by sponsors including CeX, Republic of Gamers, Noblechairs, Overclockers UK and Beyond NRG. CeX is its most recognisable partner and signed a five-year sponsorship contract in 2020 to support the team.

The eSports industry has grown in both revenue and spectators and is set to be worth $6.5 Billion by 2027. However, it has some growing pains owing to the lack of competition standards, for example, it is often difficult to recognise which tournaments are valuable in terms of viewing figures. Challenges ahead for Endpoint will be retaining old talent and growing its fanbase outside of the UK.
