Who you are

  • A relevant degree or degree equivalent (e.g., business, project management, criminal justice, security management)
  • Relevant experience in industry practice including leading project and programs to reduce risk within operational processes
  • Relevant experience managing a team dispersed across a geographical area as well as development, hiring, and performance management
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formula creation)
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

Desirable

  • A relevant advanced degree or degree equivalent (e.g., business, criminal justice, security management)
  • Relevant industry certification (e.g., ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Diploma for Certified Security Management Professionals (CSMP))
  • Project management certification (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt)
  • Relevant experience in project management and delivery
  • Upper intermediate proficiency in a second European language

What the job involves

  • To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our Sortation Centre Solutions (SC Solutions) team as Senior Program Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
  • In this key role, you will manage the Sortation Solutions team and be responsible for ensuring that your area of responsibility efficiently and effectively provides security services and asset protection (i.e., lives, buildings, equipment, data, and professional property) through the design of physical infrastructure and processes across the EMEA Sortation Centre environment
  • Individual Contributor who supports the Security and Loss Prevention team with developing, maintaining, and continuously improving risk-based security projects and programs specific to Sortation Operations within EMEA
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security projects and programs aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify, assess, prioritize risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop strategic goals as well as roadmaps and drive strategic initiatives
  • Engage senior management from across EMEA to build a culture of security awareness, ensure a positive working relationship, understand opportunities to support, and share successful programs and lessons learned with global teams

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
