Company mission

To give everyone the opportunity to be successful at work.

Role

Who you are

  • Motivated, caring, results-oriented, and passionate about what we do, we’re looking for like minded individuals to join us on the journey!
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, working on web-based products
  • You consistently apply product thinking to focus on the “why?” as much as “how?”
  • You’ve repeatedly led on taking features from ideation and research right through to successful post-launch adoption
  • You work across the full Product design discipline rather than specialising heavily in one particular area. Ideally you’re as comfortable solving usability and IA issues as you are at producing high-quality visuals or crafting great microcopy
  • Experience in planning and facilitating qualitative user research
  • Experience contributing to and evolving a design system as part of a multi-person design team
  • Experience with a variety of effective product processes, and an appetite to bring these to your squad and the wider Product team
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a thoughtful process and high-quality output
  • A preference for taking an iterative approach; you aim to create highly useful and engaging experiences, but favour progress and learning over perfection

What the job involves

  • You will work in one of our autonomous product squads, owning an area of the product, building a better understanding of our customers' problems and delivering lovable solutions
  • In addition, you will team up with the other designers to improve our design process and mentor others in areas where you have valuable experience to share
  • Join customer calls, dig into data with your Product Manager or run other appropriate research activities to investigate and understand our users’ needs
  • Take the lead on generating new ideas and guide others in activities to foster inspiration
  • Effectively collaborate with your whole squad (Product Manager, Engineers, QA) to take an idea from early concept through to a fully-validated feature release
  • Own bigger strategic changes to the product, thinking holistically and including stakeholders from across the company
  • Contribute to improving the design process and regularly share your relevant expertise with the other designers to improve their craft
  • Promote high standards for usability, accessibility and quality of design work across the product

Company values

  • We respect each other - We achieve more working together, and the team always comes before self. We respect each other, and each person’s contribution to the team
  • We deliver results - We fight for every inch; we will go further than expected, and further than others would do. We are outcome orientated - output matters more than input, or what we say. We are fast-paced, and innovative. We are not afraid of trying new things - in fact, we thrive on being different, and doing things nobody else would
  • We are humble - There is always more to learn, and we can always improve on what we have already achieved. We are never arrogant, in any shape or form. We believe shipping is the best way to learn as a product is never final, and we are never finished. We keep iterating forever, as it can always be better
  • We act with transparency - We believe in a free-flow of information, as it makes us a stronger unit. We don’t play any games, and we don’t believe in internal politics. We share best practice; knowledge is shared extensively, which elevates us as a team, and as a company
  • Our work has impact - We are passionate about what we do - this is more than just a job, we feel a sense of achievement and fulfillment. We have impact; it’s not just about making money, but improving the lives of our users. What we do actually matters to people, other than ourselves. We have fun; going to work should be about more than just doing your hours
