Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Direct people management experience, including supervisory experience of entry-level managers and/or established individual contributors

What the job involves

  • As a Senior Engineering Manager at Workiva, you'll lead the Processes product team, driving the development of innovative solutions that streamline data collection, certification, and automation of task assignment
  • You'll work closely with stakeholders to shape the future of our core product in Automation and Connectivity (A&C), delivering impactful solutions that address the dynamic needs of our clients. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a vital area of our platform
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and innovative work environment
  • Assume responsibility of full-scale people management duties, steering the hiring process, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering talent development initiatives to empower our team members to reach their full potential
  • Define strategic objectives and establish policies that drive success within the Tasks product team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering teams, product managers, delivery managers, and end-users, to analyze, design, and implement software enhancements and new features, ensuring alignment on application requirements and modifications throughout the process
  • Manage the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software solutions tailored for end-user applications, with a specific focus on B2B SaaS products serving external client-facing needs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance productivity of the Tasks product
