Role
Who you are
- Experiences of working on world class B2C products that have been used by millions
- In-depth knowledge of iOS with extensive ‘hands on’ development and management experiences
- Manage and lead a sizable mobile engineering team with strong delivery track record
- Love to get involved in technical details, participate in architecture review, provide technical guidance or do PR reviews if needed
- It is a plus if you have the following additional experiences
- Experiences in real time collaborative productivity product
- Experiences in other mobile platforms (Android, Windows, Web) or other technologies like BE or ML
- Experiences in lead more than 1 team, or managed a manager
- Passionate about productivity and the emerging technologies, architectures & product in the space
What the job involves
- You will lead a distributed team across Europe and Asia, with shared time for collaborative activities such as planning, retros, stand-ups, and brainstorming sessions
- You will be leading more than 1 team that owns the core handwriting & note-taking features of our flagship iOS application - Goodnotes 6 that serves 25M+ monthly active users
- Impact & Delivery - Make sure the teams deliver well in great quality with impactful outcome in product
- Technical leadership - contribute to roadmap & strategy, make technical decision if needed
- People management - mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members
- Building high performing team - Scale and manage engineering teams which will likely extend to other mobile platforms

Our take
Goodnotes is a digital note taking tool for handwritten notes and (formerly) paper-based information. The app delivers a precise and natural writing experience thanks to its signature vector ink engine. It can read handwriting and allows users to search it, as well as converting it to text for easy sharing into other apps or even web pages. Goodnotes also supports importing, searching and navigation through PDF, PowerPoint, Word, image files and more.
The platform is available across iPhone, iPad and Mac. One of the leading note-taking solutions on the App Store (with over 14,000 positive reviews) it competes with apps like Notability and Paper by WeTransfer. Founded in Hong Kong, Goodnotes is currently setting up a team in the UK to build products on top of their core app.
