SageSpot is on a mission to help Creators find and nurture their most passionate followers and earn revenue independence in the process.
Sam Franklin
CEO of Otta
Social media has gone from strength to strength, and creators looking to monetize their audiences are beginning to expand beyond the relatively restrictive capabilities of major platforms like Youtube and Instagram. Platforms like Substack and Patreon have tried and tested the subscription model, and that’s led to a flurry of startups looking to carry it over to other areas of expertise. SageSpot is one of them.
The platform helps skilled creators capitalize on existing social media audiences by allowing them to host members-only areas for extra content and engagement. Current creators come mainly from the sport and fitness worlds. Beyond that, details are hard to come by - and with content creator platforms, that’s where the devil very much is.
Monetization models for TikTok and Twitch have caused major discontent among their creators in the past, for example, and restrictions on giveaways has others switching away from Patreon. So SageSpot’s policies on this could have a major impact on the number of influencers and audiences it’s able to on-board, which in turn will greatly affect how much momentum this new entrant to the community engagement market is able to generate.
