Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years SDR/BDR leadership inbound and outbound motions and 3 years of second line managerial experience

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Director, Business Development within our NA segment who will play a crucial role in our sales organization by managing, training, and coaching our NA Business Development Managers and partnering closely with Sales Management to ensure adequate pipeline generation
  • You’ll be responsible for management, development and execution of strategic tactics for outbound business development
  • Further, you will be a key member of our sales leadership team and help shape the development of our NA BDR program as we expand globally
  • Report directly to the VP of Global Business Development and be the Leader of the NA Business Development team
  • You will manage a team of Business Development Representatives, ensuring activity and coverage targets are met, resulting in new demand generated on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Closely collaborate with other Business Development leaders in APAC and NA, by joining weekly Team Meetings in the early evenings
  • Monitor, enhance and continually improve Fivetran’s prospecting process around a set of lead qualification and revenue KPIs
  • You will continuously foster and encourage an environment where best practices are developed and then shared with the broader team
  • Work as a peer to senior leaders across NA Sales, Marketing, Demand Gen, and RevEx to ensure end to end processes suitable to ensure strong conversion rates at our early stage funnels and to ensure overall strategies are aligned and continuously improved
  • Conduct 1:1 coaching to continuously improve sales capability and develop a growth mindset of the BDR leadership and individual contributor team
  • Drive prospecting discipline, including performance & pipeline reporting through team meetings, 1:1s, and performance management process
  • Develop and present executive-level vision and operating plans in support of BDR and their associated top-of-funnel future capabilities’ growth
  • You will add to an already fun, challenging and results-oriented culture

Customers are mostly data analysts at companies with inefficient database schema, who suffer from a high risk of project failures. Fivetran offers rapid integration of complex data services into cloud warehouses, tagging onto the trend towards cloud-based data systems.

By developing and continuously improving cloud applications that adapt to changing APIs and data schemas, Fivetran is attracting customers who seek long-term data viability. Fivetran also benefits from being easy to set up and integrate into a client's existing software.

After acquiring HVR, a data integration competitor, and Teleport Data, Fivetran continues to add functionality and customers via acquisition. A round of funding in 2023 paved the way for expansion into European and Asian markets.
