Controller, Coin Metrics

• Interest in crypto and cryptoassets and SaaS business models

• 7+ years of relevant experience in both public and private accounting: Big Four accounting firm and/or large bank experience preferred, CPA is a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems and implementations

• The controller will lead financial operations and activities of the organization ensuring accurate accounting practices, report key financial information and guide all accounting functions
• As our Controller, your core objective will be to contribute to a higher level finance strategy that provides support and fuel to the company's growth initiatives
• Leading a team of external accounting professionals with responsibilities for the general ledger, AR/AP, and all reporting systems while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal management reporting requirements
• Managing monthly financial close in a timely and accurate manner, including preparation of reconciliations of all revenue and expense accounts, fixed assets, prepaid, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis
• Managing revenue recognition and commissions in accordance with ASC 606
• Evaluating, developing, and implementing accounting policies and controls, including documentation and technical memos
• Managing annual audit and tax filings with external accounting firms
• Working closely with Sales & People Operations teams on client reporting & headcount analysis, including budget vs actual reporting, while ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Managing equipment leases and accounting for operating and capital leases in accordance with ASC 842
• Consolidating financial statements for multiple legal entities and perform consolidating entries
• Partnering with department leaders to understand key issues and business drivers and collaborate with the FP&A team to maintain financial model and forecasts, and increase the efficiency of periodic reporting
• Managing international accounting for UK & Ireland and consolidation reporting
