Role

Who you are

  • Familiarity with benefits best practices and compliance requirements
  • Expert with Excel/Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of pre/post tax benefit deductions, fringe benefits/perks, equity, gross-ups, and their impact to net pay
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll related matters
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to efficiently perform several tasks concurrently and work independently in a deadline driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years experience performing benefit/HRIS functions or in a similar field

Desirable

  • Degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance/similar subject area
  • Experience with Workday/ADP Streamline, including processing, creating earning/deduction codes, and payroll implementations
  • Experience with payroll systems implementations

  • We’re looking for a world class Benefits Analyst II to join the People Team!
  • Working closely with the Benefits & HRIS and Total Rewards teams, you will play a key role in computing, processing, and auditing our benefits
  • Collaborate with a team of existing benefit professionals and forward thinking business partners throughout the company to support our total rewards structure
  • Understand and audit benefits deductions for our US weekly and biweekly payrolls
  • Manage monthly benefit invoicing, PO’s, and auditing to ensure reconciliation with payroll and accounting
  • Conduct enrollment audits and compliance reviews
  • Support open enrollment project and changes related to benefit design, HRIS/payroll, compliance updates, web content and communications
  • Lead, develop and implement change management, including team member communications
  • Provide guidance on employee benefits-related questions, research and resolve benefits issues, partnering with appropriate management on escalated matters
  • Review and approve all benefits enrollments and transactions in Workday, ensuring accuracy of data, adequate documentation, and that enrollments meet all eligibility requirements
  • Partner with payroll for ongoing program audits (401k, HSA, FSA, etc.)
  • Participate in the annual benefits renewal process, non-discrimination testing and ACA reporting
  • Manage relationships with Snap partners who may be remote or based in different time zones

Our take

Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.

After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.

Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
